For Boxing Day

Did anyone else notice that this year's Boxing day sale wasn't as good as the other years? You'd think because of the recession all stores would be pricing everything super affordable to consumers but really, it wasn't that good. But who am I to talk seeing I spent most of my day in this one store. Yes, one store.

It's pretty lame how that turned out but I think I got some pretty nice pieces.

I came across this photo below from some blog. I am so bad at crediting my sources. I just like to collect pretty images on to my computer so I never know at the end of the day where they came from. As a child I clipped so many magazine and newspaper articles and photos - which I found some last night and I felt pretty proud of myself to have such archive.

Anyway before I completely side-track I just wanted to show you my new purchase!

I have been trying so hard to boycott these mass produced, large clothing companies but sometimes it's hard to do that because a girl like me who is trying to get through design school cannot afford the real deal Balmain -- yet.

Balmain Fever

I'm up way too early in the morning (4am). Before I put on an episode of Sex and the City on (yes! I got all the seasons now as of yesterday!) I thought I'd swing by and write a quick blog. I meant to write about this yesterday but I ran out of time before I had to run to work.

Regardless, my obsession for Balmain hasn't left me yet. I am just so in love with their Spring 2010 read-to-wear rock n' roll collection.

Here's a quick profile of Balmain (below is copied from Net-a-Porter):

"Pierre Balmain founded his exquisite namesake Parisian fashion house in 1945, dressing the likes of Ava Gardner and Brigitte Bardot. This collection makes me want to go on a diet and start a band and live as a rock star. And the looks that Christophe Decarnin designed is completely opposite from what Paris Hilton would ever pull (read my post below).
