The American Apparel Rummage Sale in Vancouver was a total bummer. I'm not sure if it was bad because I went there on the second day but what they had was mainly really out dated stuff (so glad there was no line up). I noticed that lot of the tags said "Classic Girl" which I think that was what it used to be called? I'm not too sure what the story is behind that but anyway I remember a friend who got bunch of Classic Girl items when we were like thirteen. Her boyfriend at the time, his sister worked for them at the head office or something and gave her some free stuff. That was like NINE years ago! Anyway not only most of these items were outdated, lot of them either had holes or some stains on it. I was there for about two hours which one of the aa girl found that out and her and this other employee decided to throw in all these freebies at me (you can't go wrong with cotton underwears) and named me the rummage queen (thanks?).
While I was there I got a chance to chit chat with this aa boy who flew into Vancouver to help out and he let me in on the fact that some of the stuff at the Vancouver rummage sale were stuff that Toronto people did not want. So not only we had all this Classic Girl stuff from nine years ago but we also had all the crap from Toronto. I will probably not be attending the Vancouver's American Apparel Rummage Sale ever again.
